December Scarf Knitting – Candles in the Window

December Scarf Knitting – Candles in the Window

Here is the first month in my Year of Scarf Knitting.  December is one of my favorite months of the year; it’s filled with light and warmth, candles and wonder.

Candles in Frosted Window

This month’s scarf is called Candles in the Window. Could be, because I love to see candles in the window. In my home or yours. Driving down a country road or through a busy little town or in a special bed and breakfast. There is just something about candles in the window. They beckon us in. They want us to know more. Even if we can’t or won’t stop, they give us a sense that whoever lives there receives the same satisfaction about bringing light into the dark.

I knitted this little scarf, (only approx.. 24” in length) with Caron’s Simply Soft Yarn. The color called Dark Sage is very pretty and certainly speaks to me of Winter’s coming.

For a shorter design, use a knitting shawl pin or simply tie in place.

It’s a great look, and even when you are far away from those candles in the window, you will be reminded of how love shines ever bright!
